Sister Belnap,
Elder Belnap is a very hard working, happy missionary. We had wanted to attend these baptisms, but had prior commitments. You can see Pres Trochez (counselor to Pres Prince) on the bank...he presided for us.
We are having quite the time getting this branch formed in Buenaventura. The request is in to the first presidency as the area wants to have a boundary change and make it an independent branch that reports to the mission.
The attendance on Sundays has already outgrown the casa capilla we found. Elder Belnap told us that they had 74 there on Sunday....10 more than last week.
He is building the kingdom in a real way in a corner of the vineyard that is hungry for the truth.
It is incredibly hot there...and the challenges are real. He is humble and does not complain.
We heard in our office meeting today that he wants his visa extended.
The transfer week for November is the 27th. We have missionaries whose visas expire the 18th, the 25th, etc.
Pres Prince had decided to send them all home on the 17th...allowing the 3 Elders from the USA to be home for Thanksgiving. Elder Belnap does NOT want to go home early (and it is not early...he started his mission on Nov 17)
Pres Prince gave permission to have his visa renewed....he will be flying home on Nov 27.
You will have a belated Thanksgiving.
Thanks for the note,
Hermana Prince
